Удивительно, но Леонид родился в том же городе, как и известный художник Марк Шагал. В 1978г. Леонид Афремов окончил Витебскую школу искусств, основанную Шагалом в 1921. Наряду с Малевичем и Кандинским, Леонид Афремов является одним из элитных членов знаменитой Витебской художественной школы. Талант Л.Афремова достиг реальных высот только тогда, когда он в 1990г. переехал в Израиль. Южным солнцем, яркими цветами заполнены его картины.
